Your personal particulars will be recorded and you will be placed
in the donation queue. You will be required to go through
a haemoglobin test and medical screening.
A medical screening personnel
will go through your questionnaire
responses with you, and measure
your pulse, blood pressure and
temperature and weight. You need
to be at least 45kg to donate blood.
This is to confirm that you are fit
for donation.

blood, and that your blood is safe for those receiving it.

There are 5 Bloodbanks in Singapore. They are located at HSA (Outram), Dhoby Ghaut, Woodlands, Westgate Tower (Jurong East), and One Punggol.

The process of whole blood donation takes about 5-10 minutes only.
Donors are advised to rest for at least 10 minutes after donation. Call our hotline if you develop any of the following symptoms within 2 weeks of donation: Sore throat, fever, red eyes, rash, cough, generalised joint muscle or pain, or if you feel that your blood should not be given to patients. No reasons needed. Your donated blood will now be processed in the laboratory.
